Untethered Jailbreak for iPod Touch 4G on iOS 4.3.2 Using RedSn0w on Windows (How To Guide)

We have posted a how to guide for untethered jailbreak of iPod Touch 4G on iOS 4.3.1 earlier. So here comes the untethered jailbreak of iOS 4.3.2 on iPod Touch 4.

Please do not use this process if your phone is dependent on a carrier unlock! As an alternative wait for the new official  PwnageTool / Sn0wbreeze tool release, that will allow you to do untethered jailbreak for the iOS 4.3.2 while preserving your baseband. In fact, this process is helpful only if you are NOT dependent on a carrier unlock for both Mac and Windows.

Below are the step by step instructions on how to jailbreak your iPod touch 4G on the 4.3.2 firmware using RedSn0w for Windows.

Step 1: Create a folder on your desktop name it “Pwnage”.

You can download the latest version of RedSn0w from here and place it in the Pwnage folder. Similarly you need to download the latest 4.3.2 firmware from the link given below and place it in the same folder.

4.3.2 (4G): iPod4,1_4.3.2_8H7_Restore.ipsw

Extract the zip file of RedSn0w in the same folder.

Step 2: Connect your iPod touch to your PC and start iTunes.

On the left side you can select your iPod touch from the list of devices. Now press and hold Shift key and click the Restore button. We suggest you to restore only because it won’t create any wasted space on your iPod touch.

Now move to the Pwnage folder on your desktop and select the 4.3.2 firmware ipsw. Click the Choose button to continue.

Step 3: As iTunes will complete updating your iPod touch to the desired firmware please open the Pwnage folder on your desktop and double click the RedSn0w 0.9.6rc13 Exe file from the redsn0w folder we extracted before.

Step 4: Once RedSn0w opens click the Browse button.

Step 5: Select the 4.3.2 firmware ipsw we placed in the Pwnage folder on our desktop then click Open.

Step 6: Once the software will verify the firmware click the Next button to continue.

Step 7: RedSn0w will now prepare the jailbreak data.

Step 8: Here from this window you can choose and select the jailbreak options you would like.

Please confirm that Cydia is selected and click the Next button to go on.

Step 9: First switch off your iPoad touch and then plug it in your computer then click the Next button.

Step 10: RedSn0w will now guide you throughout the steps to get into DFU mode.

Hold and press both the Home button and the Power button for 10 seconds.

First release the Power button and continue holding the Home button until RedSn0w detects your device.

Step 11: Your iPod touch will now reboot.

Step 12: After this now RedSn0w will  initiate uploading the new RAM Disk and Kernel.

Step 13: Once this process will finish you will be notified that RedSn0w is done. Click the Finish button. When your iPod touch finishes rebooting, it will take approximately 5 minutes,  Wow you have your iPod touch 4G on untethered jailbreak iOS 4.3.2 and you will see Cydia on the SpringBoard.
